One of the strengths of Expo Riva Schuh & Gardabags is that it is much more than just a trading point, albeit on a global level. Riva del Garda and its main event for the fashion industry have become a lively centre for information, education, a hub for business and the promotion of profitable and lasting connections. “The events organised go far beyond pure trade fair programming”, says Virginia Belli, Marketing & Events Executive for Riva del Garda Fierecongressi. Her role and responsibility for this trade fair involves both the organisation of the special areas within the trade fair grounds and the management of the collateral and widespread events in the area. Virginia Belli first obtained a degree in Management and Tourism in Milan, followed by a second degree in Intercultural Development of Tourism Systems in Venice, and then completed her education abroad, in particular in Munich, where she learnt the German language and obtained a Master’s degree as Revenue Manager. This excellent path led her to her current career and to specialise in organising specific events that make the experience of exhibitors and visitors complete and rewarding.
Expo Riva Schuh & Gardabags has been successfully investing in the areas of innovation and trends for some time now, so that all participants can increase their knowledge of the technologies that foster the development of the sector and companies, as well as gain an early insight into future trends in footwear and leather goods.
“In the Innovation Village, the hub dedicated to digital, technological innovations and emerging young start-ups, we present practical solutions to meet the challenges of the industry and the most deserving projects of young entrepreneurs aiming to facilitate sales, production and distribution processes for companies and brands,’ explains Virginia Belli. Of the more recent Highlights Area, she says: ‘It is the benchmark for trends, offering a further opportunity to keep up with, if not anticipate fashion trends, thanks to the research and presentation work of the Expo Riva Schuh & Gardabags Fashion Committee regarding future seasons”.
The bleisure effect of the Riva fair represents a distinctive feature that attracts the international community not only for business reasons, but also for the pleasure of immersing oneself in the unique atmosphere of Riva del Garda. Participating in the trade fair therefore offers an ideal balance between work commitments and moments of leisure, enriching the overall experience. Adds Virginia Belli: “Visitors and exhibitors have a kaleidoscope of opportunities to get to know each other and consolidate their business. Even informal conversations during coffee breaks are opportunities for brilliant ideas and professional connections that foster the development of long-term projects. The natural beauty and unique attractions of Riva del Garda make the experience even more memorable and engaging for all participants”.
During past editions of Expo Riva Schuh & Gardabags, Virginia had the privilege of listening to the valuable reflections of exhibitors and visitors, which highlighted the importance of projects ‘beyond the fair’. Here is what emerged from some of these testimonies: “In a post-pandemic era dominated by digital development, there is a renewed need, which has become indispensable, for in-person meetings. A fair like this one stimulates the creation of new memories, a moment in which we authentically connect with others, overcoming the barriers of digital screens”.
Expo Riva Schuh & Gardabags is an event that goes beyond expectations, offering an experience that goes beyond simply visiting a trade fair.
