Four new exhibitors and the unique Immersive Room for a trade fair project that is quickly making headway: we’re speaking of none other than the Mipel Lab, the trade fair and digital concept dedicated to the promotion of the productive sector of leather goods par excellence, organised by Assopellettieri, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) and the ICE Agency, during the last edition of Lineapelle at FieraMilano-Rho this past February. After the success of the first edition, the project returned to speak with sector operators with the participation of 16 companies selected by a team of experts in accordance with a series of parameters including financial reliability, production capacity, positioning in the luxury segment, and the ability to merge manufacturing and artisanal know-how with the needs connected to industrialization. The ‘new entries’ BMB Manifattura Borse, Colonnelli 2.0, Falor and Frassineti joined the companies already part of the initiative since its debut, including: Bric’s, DiMar Group, Mabi International, Metalstudio S.p.a., MOST, Pelletteria Fiorentina Montecristo, Sapaf s.r.l., Tigamaro, P.&C. s.r.l., Rica s.r.l., Tivoli and Tripel Due.

The 4.0 novelty of this edition of Mipel Lab was the Immersive Room, a space where the visitor could have an immersive experience in the discovery of the phases of the Italian leather goods manufacturing supply chain, represented through a series of iconic objects which, once they were placed on the interactive table in the centre of the room, demonstrated the various characteristics and aspects of each item through brief videos.

Mipel Lab will continue in a digital version through the BtoB matchmaking platform dedicated to sourcing, capable of ‘matching’ Italian and international brands with the Italian leather goods manufacturers most suited to the specific production request. “The implementation of the digital platform allows for the geographic and temporal expansion of the Mipel Lab’s role as a privileged meeting place between demand and supply in the world of high-end leather goods” – affirmed Franco Gabbrielli, President of Assopellettieri.
